EMMA THELWELL Quote

In 2021, only 25% of all senior executive positions in the UK were held by women [source]. MBA are proud to be a part of that 25% with Emma Thelwell as our Chief Operating Officer. A position Emma worked her way up to over the course of 9 years, due to her relentless hard work and determination.

Now, Emma is the heart of our operations with her unique leadership approach and management style that is essential to the day-to-day running of the business. She focuses on relationship building both within the business and externally.

Although Emma is in a senior leadership position, she is still approachable to everyone at all levels of the business – she always encourages feedback and communication while offering advice in a way that is understanding and not directing, which allows everyone to feel confident to go to her when necessary. On the other hand, Emma is assertive and known for getting things done.

Most importantly, Emma ensures that people know they are needed and valued in all aspects of the business while prioritising personal development. Emma is an exemplary example of someone that leads by example, she instils her core values into everyone at MBA and is a true advocate and representation of the brand, values, and ‘do whatever it takes’ mantra.

All of us here at MBA appreciate Emma’s distinctive leadership style and are proud to be a part of a company that allows women to excel in leadership positions.

At MBA, we strive to bridge the gap of women in leadership positions in the way we recruit for our partners, therefore we actively encourage gender neutrality in our recruitment methods.

We understand that progress is being made across the board, however, know there is still a long way to go. This is why we wanted to speak out and ensure everyone knows how important equal opportunities are.
