Following the success and proven delivery capability across IT and Change for Permanent resource, MBA were approached by The Coventry in late 2018 to design and deliver a ‘Managed Service’ solution to increase their capability of contract and interim resource, secure the very best talent, manage their direct contractors more effectively, manage external suppliers through a ‘single contract’ and deliver cost efficiencies.
We began our relationship with Carole Nash’s annual recruitment campaigns in 2016, having previously supported them with their seasonal recruitment as a tiered supplier. Due to MBA’s quality, dedication and speed the decision was made for us to become the sole supplier for all contact centre recruitment. Each year we will place in the region of 130 motor insurance advisors across a 4-month period, split between Customer Service and Sales. Over the last 4 years, we have delivered an almost 50% cost saving (circa £120k PA) and by working closely with the business reduced 1st year attrition by 60%.
Having previously managed our recruitment with a “not broken, don’t fix it” approach, MBA engaged with us at the end of 2017 during which time we were using many agencies, coupled with lengthy recruitment events and a very low offer rate. In partnership with MBA we have created a whole new recruitment strategy, better selection of candidates and turned something average into a group acknowledged win. We see a lengthy partnership with MBA growing and are now in discussions to implement their recruitment technology into our process.
Our partnership began with Crawford & Company in February 2017, with a campaign to fulfil a number of roles in the South East, our success in this project led us to an exclusive RPO arrangement, where we fill 200 Specialist Insurance roles per year, manging their supply chain and direct sourcing strategy. Over the last 3 years MBA has saved our client an average of £175k per annum.

In 2015 Jemca initially wanted to review their existing agency PSL. During our conversations, we uncovered that the business did not have a centralised recruitment function. Hiring managers in the different locations were responsible for the full lifecycle of their own recruitment. As a result, Jemca did not have a clear understanding of their recruitment spend, and struggled to fill roles in time with an average time to offer of 7 weeks.
